Bobby's Secret Love Potion - And How He Uses It!

Bobby Sherman is a super-star.  He's one of the most popular actors in America today, he's been awarded gold discs for his Metromedia singles and LPs, and his in-person concerts are always sellouts.  Bobby is enormously talented and super successful, but that's not all.  In addition, Bobby is adored by millions of girls throughout America.  These girls not only respect and admire his many talents - they also love him.  In other words, Bobby Sherman has "charisma".

Having charisma is like having a rare and wonderful kind of magnetism - an extraordinary power that attracts loyalty, enthusiasm and, yes - love!  And Bobby's fans are in love with him!  It's as though he slipped them all a secret love potion or cast a happy, hypnotic spell on them!  Yet the strange and wonderful thing is that Bobby himself is completely unaware of his charismatic power.   Here's what he has to say about it.

BOBBY EXPLAINS - I don't have charisma - I'm a lucky victim of it!  The people who really have this wonderful power are my fans.  In other words, you are the one who is filled with magic!   You've cast your spell on me - and I can prove it!

First off, whatever I do - I have you in mind.  When I read a script, I look for one I know you'd want me to do - or a story I believe you'd enjoy seeing.   Every song I sing on TV, in concert or on record is chosen just for you!   (Listen to the lyrics and look for the meaning in these tunes, and you'll know how I feel about you).  Other times, I sing a song I know you like or one I think will cheer you up, put a smile on your face or make you feel like dancing.  The reason I recorded the Brides theme song Seattle as one of the tunes on my first Metromedia LP was because you asked me to!

I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU! - If you're wondering how I know what you like, how you think and all these other things about you, I'd be glad to explain.  You see, you tell me - when I'm lucky enough to talk with you (on the telephone or in person) - or when I read the beautiful, thoughtful letters you write me.  You reveal and confide so much to me.  I'm flattered that you tell me your inner thoughts and secrets, and because you do this - I know quite a bit about you!  I try to answer your letters, but that's not always possible, so doing these other things is my way of personally answering your letters, or letting you know that I do read them - and that I do care!  If I took the time to write to each and every person who writes to me - I wouldn't be able to make all the personal appearances and records I do.  So if you don't hear from me by mail (though I will try to write to you), please understand that I may visit your home town instead.  However, I do want you to continue to write to me.  I love hearing from you and getting to know you, and I promise that one way or another - I will answer your letters!

I'M NOT EMBARRASSED - This may sound silly, but I'm not embarrassed to admit that I even dress for you!  I received so many letters saying that you liked the fringe shirt and leather pants I wore when I appeared on ABC-TV's Get It Together - you'll never guess what I did!  I went out and bought a dozen more fringe shirts (in different colors) just like the one I wore on that show!  I did this so that I could wear these shirts on stage during my concerts.  And it wasn't a coincidence that I wore that very same outfit for the poster of my Here Comes Bobby album cover.  I did that on purpose - for you!

The only way I can describe the hold you have on me is to say that wherever I go and whatever I do - a part of you is there with me.  If that's not charisma - I don't know what is!
