Five Questions He's Never Dared to Answer Before

It's "Up-Against-The-Wall" Time With Bobby Sherman - Our Favorite Blue-Eyed Boy From The Hollywood Hills!!

Bobby Sherman leaned back in his favorite easy chair, pursed his lips together, raised his expressive eyebrows and said, "Wow - have I really got to answer these questions?!"

Yep, our usually bubbly, effervescent Bobby had suddenly turned bashful on us. It's like - well, certain guys just don't like to answer certain questions!! But for SPEC, as usual - like the sweet 'n swingin' superstar "trouper" he is - Bobby came through. And just for you - one by one - here are five of the most penetrating and "tough" questions that have ever been put to Bobby. They're those snoopy-type questions you've always wanted - but never dared - to ask your favorite star. Listen in while Bobby lets his hair down and spills the whole truth - and nothing but the truth - to you.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF - STRICTLY PHYSICAL - WHAT WOULD THAT THING BE?
Actually, I'm very happy with my physical self the way I am. Of course, when I was younger, I wasn't completely satisfied with myself. Then I always wished my nose was slightly smaller. But all teenagers seem to pick one area of themselves to find fault with - so my case really wasn't unusual!! Also, like all teens, one day I woke up and realized that my external characteristics didn't really matter. What counted was the person I was inside. So I began working on being the best possible person I could be - and consequently, I became a lot happier!

To come to the present - I suppose the one thing I'd really like to be is just one inch taller. Although I'm five feet and nine inches tall, I really wouldn't mind being five feet and ten inches tall. But since I can't do much about that, I'll simply say - I'm very happy with me the way I am!

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN MARRYING THE GIRL YOU LOVE AND GIVING UP YOUR SHOW-BUSINESS CAREER - WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
That's really a tough one. If I had to choose between the two - much as I love my work - I guess I'd give up my show-business career! I believe in my heart that I'll never completely fulfill myself as a total human being - despite my tremendous good fortune in "the business" - until I find the girl who is truly meant for me. Then I hope we'll get married, raise a family and live a rich and happy life. I guess, in the final analysis, you can always get a job, but finding the perfect girl isn't easy - so it merits all the sacrifices necessary to make my dream of love a reality. Actually, the kind of girl I would marry wouldn't ask me to give up my career - so I guess I have nothing to worry about!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF A FAN HAD SAVED NEARLY ALL OF HER TOTAL LIFE'S SAVINGS TO BUY A PLANE TICKET AND FLY TO L.A. TO SEE YOU?
First of all, I'd be so completely flattered that I'd be stunned! I'd be knocked out that she cared so much about me to make all those sacrifices - just for me. Naturally, I would hope to be able to meet her and thank her personally for all of her interest and her belief in me. Then - if there were time - I'd like to show her around and let her see some of my favorite places in Hollywood - and let her really get to know me.

WHAT ONE THING WOULD MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD?
What pleases me most about my life right now is that I am in a position to do something meaningful for others. I am talking specifically about the Bobby Sherman Cancer Research Fund, a division of the Concern Foundation - and I'm thrilled by the response my appeals for support have generated! It's a great feeling to know that you can do something for somebody else - and that what you do really counts. I hope that all of you SPEC-ers feel the same way and that you will send whatever you can - pennies or dollars.

FINALLY, IF YOU COULD MAKE ONE WISH FOR YOUR FANS - WHAT WOULD THAT WISH BE?
Wow - that's almost impossible! I'll tell you what - if you'll let me make two wishes, I'll answer the question! First, I would like to personally meet and thank each and every girl who cares for me - I'd like to say hello to her, shake her hand and tell her how much her love and caring means to me. My second wish would be that all my fans could know how deeply I care for them - and I also hope that they will learn, as they travel through life, how important it is for them to be the finest people they can be - believing in themselves, doing what they think is right and following their own true inner beliefs. We all have so much to give the world, and I want us to be able to give to our fullest extent - to make this world a better place for us all!
