Bobby Sherman - Precious PawsPrecious Paws

It's fundraiser time again and this one is going for a very special cause - or should I say "very special PAWS!" The recipient of the donations will be Precious Paws, a non-profit pet rescue organization run by my good friend (and Bobby's) Georgyne. She has dedicated her life to the rescue and placement of animals - mostly cats, but she has also handled some dogs. Georgyne is "Mom" to BW, the former Bobby Sherman Fan Club mascot. Bobby was the one who named BW - short for "black and white" like in the LAPD police cars. Donations go for the care and feeding of animals until such time they are adopted out and placed in loving homes. We all have a soft spot in our hearts for animals and here's a way to get something of Bobby history and help a great cause also.

The offering is for a picture CD of Bobby photos. To be included are over 75 pictures of Bobby from June through September, 1971, taken outside of Columbia Ranch in Burbank (now part of the Warner Brothers studios) when he was filming "Getting Together." A friend of Georgyne's had the honor of getting to hang out in front of the main gate with friends and catch Bobby coming and going almost daily where he would pose for pictures and sign autographs. Also included in these photos are ones from his record signing at Zody's department store, a now-defunct Los Angeles store, in November, 1971. You'll find miscellaneous other pictures from the same era including a picture of the Sherman's house where Bobby grew up from age 8 on. Our local Photoshop expert and Webmaster Extraordinaire, Ginny Renta, lent me her expertise in making these 34 year old pictures look their best. As an added bonus, you'll receive on the CD over 50 various publicity photos taken over the years. These are from my private collection as well as contributions from Karen Corwith and Wendy Van Horne's collections. I'm sure the CD will be a delight to every true Bobby fan.

As an added incentive, all those who donate will have their name put in a special drawing for a Bobby lunchbox signed and personalized to you (or the person of your choice) by Bobby. He's ready to sign it for the lucky winner, so be sure your name is among the eligible ones.

The donation requested for the CD is just $25.00 with an additional $5.00 charge to cover the actual costs (blank CD, case, mailing supplies and postage). Precious Paws is a non-profit organization (FEIN #03-0455334) and you can check with your accountant for deductibility on your tax returns. For more information or instructions for ordering, please contact me.

For more information on Precious Paws, please visit the website at www.preciouspaws.org. You may make donations directly to the organization at any time and we hope that you'll feel free to do so. To receive the CD and be included in the drawing, you must respond to this offer directly.

Deadline for ordering is Sunday, April 24, 2005, so please don't hesitate to place your order now! Donations must be received by Friday, April 29, in order to be included in the drawing for the Bobby lunchbox. Thank you for helping such a great cause!

Thank you!
