Hershey Concert
We Are Crazy
What other explanation could there be? Chris and I flew from Chicago to Baltimore, rented a car and drove for 2 hours to get to Hershey, spent two nights in a hotel, took turns waiting 11 hours in line to get a front row seat, sat for nearly an hour in a pouring rain that was so heavy that we were soaked down to our undies (so much for bringing an extra set of clothes so we could look our cutest for Bobby!)...and all this was just to see Bobby perform for about 15 minutes. Would we do it again? In a heartbeat!!!!!!!! The minute I heard the Seattle music start and I spotted Bobby making his way through the audience with Ward holding an umbrella over Bobby's beautiful head, I knew the possibility of pneumonia was worth it! Even though it was still raining lightly at that point, our dear Bobby was still sweet enough to break free from Ward and make it over to the grassy area in front of the front row filled with myself and the other crazy Babes who had waited 11 hours for those seats. He went down the line in the rain kissing, hugging and shaking hands. Yes, I got to plant a big wet one on his Polo scented cheek..mmmmmmmmmm!! I always give him a big wet one every chance I get, but this one was especially wet because my hair was dripping in my face!! LOL!! Bobby finally made it up on stage and although he mentioned that he was fighting a cold, his singing was still top of the line. He, and the other guys, were obviously rushing because they started late and had a 10:30 deadline due to the scheduled fireworks, however Bobby did manage to fit in all the usual favorite songs. He did have to cut out a lot of the audience interaction though. We didn't even get to do the "older, wiser, and sexier" routine with him!! LOL!!
But on the upside, thanks to Mindy and Wendy, he looked FANTASTIC in the royal blue shirt. Although it was hard to tell when we were actually there, when we watched the video of the concert later, you could really see how the shirt brought out the blue in his eyes...YOWZER!!
Bobby always gets to "Julie" all too soon, but this time it was even sooner. By this point, it had stopped raining and even though we were soaked to the skin and shivering from the cool night air, we were still able to promise Bobby that his ladies would still be there. I know I meant it and I know at least the entire first row of crazy Babes who waited 11 hours for those seats meant it. Every chance you give us, Bobby...
WE'LL BE THERE!!
